BLC Plant Company was originally started in 1978 by Joe Stravino, and since then the company has grown from strength to strength, now incorporating a joint venture with Kwane Capital, giving birth to Kwane BLC Equipment.

The nature of business is to purchase equipment for stock; to rebuild it as required in the fully equipped on-site workshops and then re-market it to users in various industries. These industries include mining houses, plant hire companies, construction companies and municipalities. BLC Plant Company focuses on delivering products which meet customer specifications, and offers buyers a viable alternative to new equipment.

The company has increased their premises to currently occupy 55,000m2 of office / storage and workshop facili- ties. The physical growth of the company has allowed them to augment their business goals and objectives, and in addition present their customers with a more holistic product offering. In addition, at any given time BLC Plant Company has in excess of 350 machines in stock, encompassing all forms of earthmoving equipment including:- Graders, Dozers, Loaders, Hydraulic Excavators, Tractor Loader Backhoes and Compactors. The objective is to satisfy a diverse target market’s needs, and an extensive supply of equipment facilitates this objective.

FML

Full maintenance lease provides:

  • Use of plant of choice at a fixed monthly rental
  • Predetermined period and distance

We assume all the risks involved with maintaining plant, including providing the capital finance and carrying the maintenance

Additional services

LICENSING RENEWALS

The cost of license renewals and registration is included in the monthly Full Maintenance Lease charge. Adminis- tration relating to the renewal of all licenses will be the responsibility of Kwane and will be ontrolled by us.

FLEET INSPECTIONS

Kwane, in partnership with Barloworld will perform regular on-site inspections to identify possible maintenance problems that can be rectified before major expenses are incurred. A full report will be compiled after each in- spection.
